New Technologies in Education 2016

For the second year in a row, we organised this event with one goal - to improve the quality of education in Serbia. The focus of the event was on the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in education.
'New Technologies in Education' was held at Belexpocentar and in the conference facilities of the Holiday Inn Hotel in Belgrade, on 27 and 28 February 2015.
With the event, we wanted to support teaching and non-teaching members of staff in schools and universities in Serbia and around the region, as well as everyone involved in the modernisation of the educational process and better exploitation of possibilities new technologies offer.
This two-day event covered the following areas:
  • Best practice examples of ICT use in primary and secondary schools
  • Best practice examples of ICT use in higher education
  • Inclusive education and ICT support
During the two-day event we had more than 2.500 registered participants. Over 50 speakers from UK, Serbia and the region prepared interesting presentations about creative ways of using ICT in education. About 2.000 livestream viewers had opportunity to follow 100 lectures online covering a range of topics in the area of ICT in education.
In parallel with this two-day conference, we organised a fair where the latest technological solutions in education were presented. More than 40 exibitors − ICT companies, publishers, schools, universities and other educational institutions presented their state-of-the-art computer and audio-visual equipment, mobile devices, software, applications, digital textbooks and other products that may contribute to the increased quality of education.
The event was organised in partnership with the British Embassy in Belgrade, the Social Inclusion and Poverty Reduction Unit (Serbian Government), the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development, the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications, the Serbian Chamber of Commerce and other partners. In organisation of this conference, we are partnered with many other partners. You can view the complete list here.
If you have any questions regarding the conference or the fair, please get in touch with our colleague Aleksandar Borisavljević.

BELEXPOCENTAR, BELGRADE | 26–27 FEBRUARY 2016

We want to help pre-school institutions, schools, universities and other organisations involved in education to become more innovative, modernise the learning process and exploit all the possibilities provided by new technologies. We also want to help entrepreneurs and companies present their products and services that have the potential to change the education process of future generations. All participants will be able to meet world experts in this area and find inspiration by experimenting with new technologies and speaking with partners and colleagues from the region and the rest of the world.
These important topics will be discussed at a large regional conference in Belgrade, and will be followed by an exhibition programme, during which companies, publishing houses and educational institutions from both Serbia, the region and the UK will present their solutions. New areas of interest will be the use of ICT in pre-school education, ICT and lifelong learning and best practice examples from these areas.
This two-day event will cover the following areas:
  • best practise examples of ICT use in pre-school education
  • best practice examples of ICT use in primary schools
  • best practice examples of ICT use in secondary schools
  • best practice examples of ICT use at universities
  • inclusive education and ICT support
  • best practise examples of ICT in lifelong learning.
The topics will be presented both in Serbian and English, and participation is free of charge. The conference activities will take place in several rooms.
The New Technologies in Education conference and fair aim to raise awareness of the significance of using new technologies in education. The event will be held at Belexpocentar in Belgrade, Serbia, on 26 and 27 February 2016.
